Phase 10 and Phase 11 Grants Awarded to 82 Arts, Arts Education, and History Organizations

The New Jersey Arts and Culture Renewal Fund (NJACRF) awarded grants to 82 New Jersey nonprofit organizations in 2025 through Phase 10 and Phase 11 of its grantmaking. Phase 10 distributed $384,500 to 67 arts and arts education organizations, while Phase 11 awarded $65,500 to 15 history organizations. These grants bring the total awarded to nearly $11 million since the Fund was established in 2020.

Phase 10 continued the Fund's commitment to supporting arts and arts education organizations across New Jersey, while Phase 11 specifically focused on history organizations working to preserve and share New Jersey's historically important places and diverse stories.

Among these grantees are six organizations receiving support from NJACRF for the first time.

The impact of these grants extends beyond immediate financial relief. Linda Shockley, President of Lawnside Historical Society, reflected on the Fund's ongoing support: "We appreciate all you do to connect cultural, history and arts organizations in our state. Your past support has had an incalculable impact on the Society's work and viability."

For West Jersey Music Academy, the grant represents more than financial support. "This is amazing news," wrote Executive Director Jacqueline Farmer. "We look forward to using the funds to continue serving our community in the years to come."

Now in its sixth year, the Renewal Fund continues to address critical funding gaps experienced by smaller cultural organizations in New Jersey, offering essential unrestricted grant dollars to nonprofit organizations that anchor communities but often lack access to traditional foundation support.
